What duties must be performed as a media studies student?

Duties are tasks that must be performed as a job to help get the best outcome from one’s self. A media student should understand and know what their own duties should be and should follow certain duties. The duties a media student should be applying to themselves when in media. A good media student should put 100% effort on their work (presentation and on time), make sure the work is posted on their own blogger on time and make sure it’s done to a good standard. 

Here is a list of things that would come under the duty heading:

- Responsibility towards work whether it is inside class or outside of class time.

- Make sure if behind on any work you catch up in your own time.

- Good organisation skills when communicating with teachers and other people outside of school linking to media (The Redbridge forum).

- When going off school site that the presentation giving towards others is appropriate (No bad language).

- If stuck on any coursework or anything to do with media that you have good communication with the teachers letting them know the problem or asking for help.

What skills are important to being a good media studies student?

A skill within a media student is the ability at which a student works which is important to do well in a job or in there media class. Not only is the practical side of media important to have great knowledge and skill but also media requires basic skills as well. A skill that is needed within a media student is good communication skills whether that is with your class teacher or with other leaders when organising stuff outside Chadwell heath academy for example good communication skills were needed when the media students had to socialise with the Redbridge forum outside of sixth form. To be a good media student you need to be comfortable with the camera this is why camera shots, editing and other practical stuff for media is important to have a good understanding of it.

What qualities are important to being a good media studies student?

To be a good media student involves different qualities. The quality can be different aspects of an individual’s personality which are important to doing a job well. Within a media students there qualities should contain being talkative for example being able to corporate with others easy and being able to work with others. They also should be enthusiastic about the work set and task set. They should be hard working and determinate.
