                                                                                 Sympathy Shot
This image is a polysemic image because it can have many different meanings. By creating a short headline and placing it under the image it automatically makes the audience have sympathy for the young girl because she has lost her mother. The short headline gives the audience a clear meaning of the image it doesn't miss lead them to any other thoughts.
Shot
I took a close up shot to help the audience feel the emotion of the person. By taking a close up shot it makes the face the centre of the image making it the subject rather than the backround. I blurred out her hand to get the full focus on her face. This image makes the audience more compassionate towards the young girl, it also shows them that alot of young children are in her situation. Many young children are having to grow up without a mother or father which could be the reason why they are so aggressive towards others. The facial expression of the young girl grabs the audiences sympathy straight away because she looks stressed and upset.

Critical Shot
This image is a polysemic image because it can have many different meanings. I added a different heading underneath ' violent teenager lashes out at her teacher' by putting a clear headline underneath the image it gives the audience a clear meaning and helps them understand the emotion of the girl. The headline makes the audience think that the girl is dangerous.
Shot
The lighting is quite dark and the hand is the main focus of the image this automatically gives the audience a bad/ dangerous thought of the image. The darkness of the image gives the audience a feeling that she is dangerous. The short headline under the image gives a simple meaning of the image which shows the image in a critical way.

Right Wing Headlines and Left Wing Headlines

 Political Ideologies
Ideologies are the sets of basic beliefs about the political, economic, social and cultural relationships held by the minority of the people within our society. Ideologies are someone’s expectations or goals. The main purpose behind an ideology is to offer changes in society.

The Independent is a British national morning newspaper published in London by Independent Print Limited, owned by Alexander Lebedev since 2010. The Independent is Originally a broadsheet newspaper, since 2003 it has been published in a tabloid. The Independent is regarded as leaning to the left politically. The Independent is a left wing tabloid which relates to being in favour for the less wealthy people, social equality, high taxes and state involement, peace and they also are in favour of ethnicity. The Independent's front page headline is 'Senior doctors revolt against health reforms' this shows that the independent is s left wing tabloid because they want to keep the health reforms which are for people who do not have alpt of money so it is in favour for the working class/less wealthy people.
More than 60 leading medical professionals have demanded that the Government's "unpopular and undemocratic" health reforms, which return to Westminster today, be either scrapped or heavily rewritten. They are against what the independemt believe.
Health care reform is a general title used for discussing a major health policy creation or changes for within the governmental policy that affects health care. The independent do not believe what the senior doctors are doing is right.

The Daily Telegraph is a daily morning broadsheet newspaper distributed throughout the United Kingdom and internationally. The newspaper was founded by Arthur B. Sleigh in June 1855 as the Daily Telegraph and Courier.
The Daily Telegraph is one of many newpapers that are on the right wing side. The lead headline 'Reforms to blow hole in your pensions' shows that they are talking directly to the less wealthy people 'yourr. The heading shows that the newspaper is right wing because pensions are for people who are less wealthy and cannot afford to perhaps pay for food and clothes for their children and the Daily Telegraph do not seem to have any consideration for the less wealthy people because they want to 'blow' a 'hole' in the pensions meaning that what the money that is being given away to cut down. This show that the Daily telegraph are in favour of the wealthy/ upper class people and they are also in favour of mantaining there class status.

Evaluation of editing

1) How did you use the 180 degree rule, rule of thirds & match on action?

I used the 180 degree rule when Sunita and Bikram were having a conversation in the basement. When I done the shot reverse shot I made sure that I did not change the shot angle such as when I was recording their conversation I kept it on the same angle so I did not break the 180 degree rule.

These screen shots show that I did not break the 180 degree rule, when Bikram walked in (left) I made sure following up from when he walked in that the conversation was still within the same 180 degree I used as Bikram walked in.

2) What challenges did you face during production? What would you change if you were to film again?
I didn't get to change alot however if I had the chance to flim again I would film the converstation again because the voices are not clear. I would also film the setting again because there is a point where the lightning does not match when Bikram walks in so I would record that again to get the lighting the same.
One of the challenges I faced was; when I filmed the atmosphere because I done the shots from two different angles the lighting came out different. You can see from th screen shots at the right.

3) What challenges did you face during post-production? What would you change if you were to edit again?
If I could edit again I would edit when Sunita is miming my voice over because it is clear you can tell she is not talking so I would have suspended it until she turned her head then you can hear the screams. I would also change the editing of the walking because it does not look like it flows.
 3) What are the overall strengths of your work? Why? – creativity, planning and research, digital technology, post production.
One of the strengths is the whole idea of the kidnapping which aloud me to do different angle shots and helped me be creative with the camera. The planning was one of the main strengths because I knew what I wanted to achieve before filming which made the filming quick and simple.
4) What are the overall weaknesses of your work? Why? - creativity, planning and research, digital technology, post production.
The weaknesses of my work would be the lighting problems, some scenes do not match each other and also the flow of the walking from scene to scene does not flow. The walking should have been filmed without a pause because the feet don't match.

5) What overall improvements would you make to your work? Why?
The overall improvements I would make to my work is I would have filmed before you see Bikram opening the boot so that the audience understands the story more easiler.
