Production Log- Week3

Weekly Update
In the third week Alysia and I made sure we carried on updating our blogs with new aspects of our work towards our music video. These aspects included the location reccies and the job roles me and Alysia would share between us. We uploaded our location reccies which show our test shots and the locations we have chosen to film in. We also put on our blog the job roles and responsibilities between each other which was to show clearly who will be managing what things for example Alysia will be the main editor and I will be the main Director.

We also handed our first draft shooting script last week to our teacher so we could receive feedback in ways in which we can develop it and make it better and more suitable for us when filming. Our teacher told us that there were not enough movement in our script so during the rest of the lesson and some of our free time after school, we decided to re-do the shooting script to make the script more descriptive and show more movement, as this was the cause of concern.

We also finished our production schedule. We had agreed on days we will film our music video scenes and who would be needed for each day. By finishing our production schedule helped us know when we was filming, where we was filming, who we would need that day and all the different shots we needed to cover that day. We made sure that all of our work was uploaded on our bolg so we could start filming on Tuesday 31th janaury 2012.

This week we also got our cast members to sign a wavier which is basically a contract stating that they give their permission to be in the music video under the circumstances that me and Alysia put int place. The cast members had to know before signing the wavier that they do not have any input they cannot determine how we edit things and so on.
What have you contributed this week?
This week it was my job to make sure that I have received all the wavier cast sheets from my cast with their signatures on them seeking the permission I need to contain them into mine and Alysia's music video. I also helped Alysia with the production scedule and the Shooting scripts as these two pieces of work needed to be done as a pair.
How does this fit in with the production schedule?
This fits in with the production schedule because without the wavier cast we cannot begin to film and also by doing the production schedule makes u more arranged meaning that it will help us in future reference when filming certain things.
Were there any problems?
Overall there was not any problems this week because it was just me and Alysia making sure all our work is updated to our blog so we can start filming. The only problem that accrued was the weather when we decided to film on the weekend it started to snow but this was not a major problem because we filmed inside on the Saturday and decided to not film on the Sunday.
How did you overcome them?
We overcame them by deciding to film inside on the Saturday and then we did not film on sunday at all because of the weather but we have came to a decision that we would do extra filming in the half term to make up for what we did not film.
What are your plans for the following week?

Our plans for the following week are to upload the filming we have done so far and edit our filming. The other plan is to also carry on filming the main scenes. We also need to upload the song this week so we can start editing the footage.
