Production Log- Week 4

This week Alysia and I uploaded our footage that will filmed last week to the AppleMacs, this was so we could start editing what we have done so far making it easier later on. We also carried on filming, we have successfully filmed the bedroom scene where Alysia shows her emotions, being very sad.
Whilst doing lots of filming me and Alysia managed to edit all the footage we took the previous weekend and edited it, so we could place it into the song making the footage cut to the beat. We edited the footage on Imovie and we did not really add any affects only fades in and out to create a flash affect, the main purpose of us not adding any affects was because we wanted it to focus more on getting the shots cut onto the beat and emphasizing on the different angle shots.
We also edited the song and thought of a concept that can help make our music video more engaging. Me and Alysia have an idea of having an argument at the beginning but you can only see the argument without actually hearing it then towards the end the song will cut and you will be able to see the argument again but with the words as well.
You will hear what they were arguing about then there will be flashbacks after the argument and you will see Alysia (The girlfriend) walk away.
We edited the music to fit with the concept so at the end of the song the music will cut for the argument. At the beginning we also edited the song making it fade in rather than come straight in so it builds up like how the argument builds up for example the longer they are arguing for the more intense it gets.
The screenshot towards the left shows that me and Alysia have edited the song making sure their is a gap in the song which is where the argument scene will be seen, we edited the song like this so you can hear the argument.
So overall in week four we done some filming and edited all the footage we filmed making it easier for us in the following weeks. The images towards the right show that me and Alysia started to edit our first lot of filming. We have started off with adding in fade in's and out's.
What have you contributed this week?
Alysia; The actress
This week I have done the filming whilst Alysia was playing the main role, so overall this week I done the filming. I also had to make sure Alysia was wearing the correct outfit to do filming in because I am the director and know how I want each scene to look like. I also uploaded the footage with Alysia.

This week we had four lessons and in each lesson I contributed something whether it was independently or with Alysia. The first lesson on the Monday Alysia and I uploaded our clips onto iMovie and cut them down to erase any extra bits, this was to make it easier later on when we film more. In the second lesson I brought in the song which I edited, 'Amarachi-Main Girl'. I basically made the song fade in and I added the clock affect for when the rewind happens. The third lesson me and Alysia decided to change the argument idea, we basically changed the order instead of repeating the song at the end we decided to put it at the end but so there was still 40seconds left of the song. This was so at the end it can finish with flashbacks.
How does this fit in with the production schedule/job roles?
This fitted in really well with the time we had to film because the stuff we filmed we uploaded an cut meaning that we would not need to go back to it and edit it. We also uploaded the song which is good because it makes it easier when uploading our new footage because we will already on the software and the software being iMovie.
Were there any problems?
This week there was no problems because we did not have much to do seeing as all our work working up towards the filming process was done and we just needed to plan what we was going tp be doing in the half term.
What are your plans for the following week?
The following week is going to be half term so, mine and Alysia's plans for the next week is to film everything. We need to make sure we get the cafe scenes filmed with the argument and happy scenes.
